The Foundation has provided funds around $15,000 for moving and storing<\/p>\n<p>school contents until the new facility can be occupied. The PTA provided around $2,500<br \/>\nfor moving supplies; boxes, tape, makers, etc. Contents will be removed by June 23 rd and<br \/>\nthen cleaning and repairs will be made to the main building. Mr. Richardson is also<br \/>\nworking with APS to remove the 2 portables on loan. He is also planning for removal of<br \/>\nthe remaining buildings. He will work with the owner to secure the deposit.<br \/>\nPrincipal\u2019s Report \u2013 Principal Tarango presented pre-registration numbers at 294 for SY<br \/>\n17\/18. She also shared MAP\u2019s short cycle assessment data that show growth indicators<br \/>\nwere higher than expected (see attached) Principal Tarango also provided a report<br \/>\n(attached) with a review of her performance based on recommended principal indicators<br \/>\nfrom the NBCT program.<br \/>\nClosed Session \u2013 Motion to move into Closed Session \u2013 Philip Sapien<br \/>\n2 nd \u2013 Lori Hagen<br \/>\nMotion Approved<br \/>\nApproval of Principal\u2019s Contract \u2013 Motion to approve Contract for Principal Tarango<br \/>\nfor SY 17-18 \u2013 Kathleen Webb<br \/>\n2 nd \u2013 Art Silva<br \/>\nMotion Approved<br \/>\nOld Business \u2013 None<\/p>\n<p>Next Meeting<br \/>\n\uf0b7 July 11, 2017<br \/>\nMotion to adjourn \u2013 Lori Hagen\u2013<br \/>\n2 nd . \u2013 Phillip Sapien<br \/>\nMotion approved<br \/>\nMeeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Governance Council Resolution No. 6-6-17<\/p>\n<p>WHEREAS, the 21st Century Public Academy Governance Council met in regular session at 21<\/p>\n<p>st Century Public Academy<\/p>\n<p>on June 6, 2017, at 5:30pm as per law; and<\/p>\n<p>WHEREAS, Section 10-15-l{B) of the Open Meetings Act (NMSA 1978, sections 10-15-1 to -4) states that except as may<br \/>\nbe otherwise provided in the Constitution or the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, all meetings of a quorum of<br \/>\nmembers of any board, council, commission, administrative adjudicatory body or other policymaking body of any state<br \/>\nor local public agency held for the purpose of formulating public policy, discussing public business or for the purpose of<br \/>\ntaking any action within the authority of or the delegated authority of such body, are declared to be public meetings<br \/>\nopen to the public at all times; and<br \/>\nWHEREAS, any meetings subject to the Open Meetings Act at which the discussion or adoption of any proposed<br \/>\nresolution, rule, regulation or formal action occurs shall be held only after reasonable notice to the public; and<\/p>\n<p>WHEREAS, Section 10-15-l{D) of the Open Meetings Act requires the 21st Century Public Academy Governance Council<br \/>\nto determine annually what constitutes reasonable notice of its public meetings;<\/p>\n<p>NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the 21st Century Public Academy Governance Council that:<\/p>\n<p>1. All meetings shall be held at 21st Century Public Academy School at 5:30pm or as indicated in the meeting<\/p>\n<p>notice.<\/p>\n<p>2. Unless otherwise specified, regular meetings shall be held each month on the first Tuesday of the month. The<\/p>\n<p>agenda will be available at least seventy- two hours prior to the meetings from the 21<\/p>\n<p>st Century Public Academy<br \/>\nAdministrative Office whose office is in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Notice of any other regular meetings will<br \/>\nbe given ten days in advance of the meeting date. The notice shall indicate how a copy of the agenda may be<br \/>\nobtained.<\/p>\n<p>3. Special Meetings may be called by the President or majority of the members upon three days notice. The<\/p>\n<p>notice shall include an agenda for the meeting or information on how member of the public may obtain a copy<br \/>\nof the agenda. The agenda shall be available to the public at least seventy- two hours before any special<br \/>\nmeeting.<\/p>\n<p>4. Emergency meetings will be called only under unforeseen circumstances that demand immediate action to<br \/>\nprotect the health, safety and property of citizens or to protect the public body from substantial financial loss.<br \/>\nThe 21st Century Public Academy Governance Council will avoid emergency meetings wherever possible.<br \/>\nEmergency meetings may be called by the chairman or a majority of the members upon seventy- two hours<br \/>\nnotice, unless threat of personal injury or property damage requires less notice. The notice for all emergency<br \/>\nmeetings shall include an agenda for the meeting or information on how the public may obtain a copy of the<br \/>\nagenda.<\/p>\n<p>5. Members of the 21s<\/p>\n<p>t Century Public Academy governance Council may participate in a meeting of the council<br \/>\nby means of a conference telephone or similar communications equipment when it is otherwise difficult or<br \/>\nimpossible for the member to attend in person, provided that each member participating by conference<br \/>\ntelephone can be identified when speaking, all participants are able to hear each other at the same time, and<\/p>\n<p>member of the public attending the meeting are able to hear any member of the Council who speaks during<br \/>\nthe meeting.,<\/p>\n<p>6. For the purpose of regular meetings described in paragraph 2 of this resolution, notice requirements are met if<\/p>\n<p>notice of the date, time, place and agenda is posted in the following locations, 21<\/p>\n<p>st Century Public Academy&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>front door, and 21s<\/p>\n<p>t Century Public Academy&#8217;s website. 21<\/p>\n<p>st Century Public Academy Governance Council shall<\/p>\n<p>also send via surface or electronic mail copies of written notice to those broadcast licensed by the Federal<br \/>\nCommunication Commission and newspapers of general circulation which have made a written request for<br \/>\nnotice of public meetings.<\/p>\n<p>7. For the purpose of special meetings and emergency meetings described in paragraphs 3 and 4 of the<\/p>\n<p>resolution, notice requirements are net if notice of the date, time, place and agenda is provided by posting<br \/>\nnotice on the front door of the 21st Century Public Academy School, on the 21st Century Public Academy School<br \/>\nwebsite and by telephone to newspapers of general circulation in the State that have made a written request<br \/>\nfor notice of public meetings.<\/p>\n<p>8. In addition to the information specified above, all notices all include the following language:<\/p>\n<p>If you are an individual with a disability who is in need of a reader; amplifier; qualified sign language<br \/>\ninterpreter; or any other form of auxiliary aid or service to attend or participate in the nearing or<br \/>\nmeeting, please contact 21st Century Public academy at 505.254.280 at least one (1) week prior to the<br \/>\nmeeting or as soon as possible. Public documents, including the agenda and minutes, can be provided in<br \/>\nvarious accessible formats. Please contact 21st Century Public Academy at 505.254.0280 if a summary or<br \/>\nother type of accessible format is needed.<\/p>\n<p>9. The 21st Century Public Academy Governance Council may close a meeting to the public only if the subject<br \/>\nmatter of such discussion or action is excepted from the open meeting requirement under Section 10-15-l(H)<br \/>\nof the Open meetings Act.<\/p>\n<p>(a) If any meeting is closed during an open meeting, such closure shall be approved by a majority vote of a<br \/>\nquorum of the 21st Century Public Academy Governance Council taken during the open meeting. The<br \/>\nauthority for the closed meeting and the subjects to be discussed shall be stated with reasonable specificity<br \/>\nin the notion to close and the vote of each individual member on the motion to close shall be recorded in<br \/>\nthe minuets. Only those subjects specified in the notion may be discussed in the closed meeting.<\/p>\n<p>(b) If a close meeting is conducted when the 21st Century Public Academy Governance Council is in an open<br \/>\nmeeting, the closed meeting shall not be held until public notice, appropriate under the circumstances,<br \/>\nstating the specific provision of law authorizing the closed meeting and the subjects to be discussed with<br \/>\nreasonable specificity, is given to the members and to the general public.<\/p>\n<p>(c) Following completion of any closed meeting. The minutes of the open meeting that was closed, or the<br \/>\nminutes of the next open meeting if the closed meeting was separately scheduled, shall state whether the<br \/>\nmatters discussed in the closed meeting were limited only to those specified in the motion or notice for<br \/>\nclosure.<\/p>\n<p>(d) Except as provided in Section 10-15-l(H) of the Open Meetings Act, any action taken as a result of<\/p>\n<p>discussions in a closed meetings shall be made by vote of the 21st Century Public Academy Governance<br \/>\nCouncil in an open public meeting.<\/p>\n<p>10.
