Motion<\/p>\n<p>passed.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Adriana announced Bylaws are on the school website<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Volunteers still needed for Pizza on Wednesdays &amp; for Student Store on Tuesday &amp; Wednesday<\/p>\n<p>Treasurers Report &#8211; Sarah Day<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Budget was distributed by Sarah Day, PTA Treasurer. There is $4,000 not allocated \u2013 will need to vote on how \/<\/p>\n<p>what to spend on. Moved to table vote to end of meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Taxes and Audit complete for 2012-13<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Taxes done for 2013-2014, Audit pending<\/p>\n<p>Memberships \u2013 Kathi Lakins<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Currently 51 paid PTA memberships. School enrollment is 200 households.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 School will receive cash bonus from State PTA if receive 50% total memberships<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Discussed options to get word out<\/p>\n<p>Principal\u2019s Report &#8211; Mrs. Tarango<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 21st<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Meeting with Governance Council Policy \u2013Survey will be forthcoming to possibly revise the language regarding<\/p>\n<p>the policy for colored hair<\/p>\n<p>Fundraising report- Cindy Rodriguez<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Projects for the 2014\/14 school year &#8211; Cookie Dough (Sept), Chocolate (Oct ), Bed sheets (Feb)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Pure Profit fundraiser requires 25% of school participation. Receiving selling bonus if 90 students participate<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Current amount deposited for Cookie Dough &#8211; $3,980.05<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Suggestion to put fundraiser notice on board outside school as reminder<\/p>\n<p>Century up for Charter Renewal \u2013 must reapply every five years<\/p>\n<p>Corporate Contributions \u2013 Kathi Lakins<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Box Tops form due October 31 sent home with students. Suggestion to email parents the information. Reward<\/p>\n<p>for the most collected. Collection Boxes also located at Student Store and in front office.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Distributed Smiths\/Albertsons\/Target forms. Will need to resubmit to Smiths each year<\/p>\n<p>Pizza &amp; Student Store Update<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Put lock on door to Student Store<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Discussion to sell for healthier snacks<\/p>\n<p>Fall Festival \u2013 Adriana Romero<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Still need volunteer to serve as Committee Head<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Lexi \u2013 volunteered to ask local business for prizes to give for best costume<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Flyer to be done by Nex-Gen student<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Date of Fall Festival still to be decided however a motion to tentatively schedule October 30 but suggestion will<\/p>\n<p>need to discussed &amp; confirm with the teachers.<\/p>\n<p>New Business<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Music Program Expansion Proposal distributed by Mr. Ashbaugh- Motion from Traci and second from Sabrina<\/p>\n<p>to give $400 for accompanist &amp; $500 stipend for Mr. Ashbaugh. Tabled stipend for Mr. Chris Garcia<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Suggestion made to do a Restaurant Community Night fundraiser\u2013 receive 20% of check. Motion to add as<\/p>\n<p>fundraiser. Sabrina will research possible restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>Other<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Mariah made suggestion to change PTA meeting time to 6 pm and offer snacks or do a potluck type meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Items remaining to discuss at next meeting<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Drip line for garden boxes<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Car pool<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Fall Festival theme &amp; dates<\/p>\n<p>Budget &amp; Vote<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Motion made by Adriana to approve budget which was seconded.
