Motion by Kathi Lakins to elect Linda Cutler-Padilla as<\/p>\n<p>secretary. Second by Mary Tarango. Passed unanimously.<\/p>\n<p>Motion to approve minutes from last meeting by Sarah Day. Second by Mary Tarango<\/p>\n<p><strong>Treasurers Report &#8211; Sarah Day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Budget\/YTD Financial Statement was distributed by Sarah Day, PTA Treasurer<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Taxes and Audit complete for 2012-13 and for 2013-2014<\/p>\n<p><strong>President\u2019s Report \u2013 Adriana Romero<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Need regular consistent volunteers for pizza on Wednesdays &amp; Fridays and volunteer for Student Store on<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Biggest fundraiser is the pizza and student store. APS employees cannot collect PTA money so parent volunteer<\/p>\n<p>is crucial<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memberships \u2013 Kathi Lakins<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Currently 56 paid PTA memberships.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 PTA is not limited to parents &amp; teachers, open to anyone interested in school\/organization.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must be a paid member to motion, vote, etc.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Membership cards issued<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principal\u2019s Report &#8211; Mrs. Tarango<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Passed out request for funding from PTA. Request is mostly identical to last year so may already be in the<\/p>\n<p>budget<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 If stipend is over $600, will need a 1099<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Robotic stipend &#8211; Mrs. Tarango will clarify the fees Mr. Silver is charging<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Request will be held for vote until December 2014<\/p>\n<p><strong>By-Law\u2019s Report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Passed out changes to consider and discuss at next meeting<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 By-Laws have been on website for 30 days<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Will need to send to State for approval before PTA can vote to accept<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Business<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Some parents have asked to Op-out of fundraisers. Tabled.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 PTA Convention in May-100 year anniversary. PTA may be able to pick up some of costs. Tabled.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Juice Plus Booth at Fall Festival. Will need test subjects who will pay. No cost to PTA. Tabled until Fall Festival<\/p>\n<p>discussion<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ceramics teacher &#8211; Karon Stephens talked to a teacher, Alex, who is available to do 2 hours every Tuesday &amp;<\/p>\n<p>Thursday, need for set up &amp; clean up, 10 sessions for $500. Will send out email to community on interest. Will<\/p>\n<p>need 10 participants minimum at $35\/each. PTA may have to contribute up to $150.
