Dear Tennis Team Parents,<\/p>\n
Thanks so much for all you do to make tennis a good experience for your child. I am writing today to let you know what is coming up this week.<\/p>\n
This\u00a0Tuesday, October 21, is our last tennis practice,\u00a04pm, Sister Cities Park.<\/p>\n
We play our last match of the season on Thursday, October 23, 3:45pm, Albuquerque Academy Chargers @ Albuquerque Academy Tennis Club, Wyoming & Academy. If entering from Wyoming, make a left and go all the way to the east end of the school. You have to walk a little way from the parking lot.<\/p>\n
\nYou also need to know that I will be out of town\u00a0on Tuesday\u00a0and\u00a0Thursday. Ms. Tarango will be the coach for\u00a0Tuesday\u2019s\u00a0practice and Deb Backus (Alli\u2019s Mom) will coach the match\u00a0on Thursday. Ms. Tarango and Ms. Backus have also graciously agreed to carpool for those children who need a ride to practice and the match. I will return\u00a0on Friday.<\/p>\n
Our tournament begins on\u00a0Saturday, October 25. Please have your children at Jerry Cline Tennis Courts (I-40 & Louisiana, SE corner) by\u00a08:30am. We begin play at\u00a09am. I have to submit a roster before\u00a09am, so it is important for me to know who is present and playing in the tournament. We will play at least two matches\u00a0on Saturday\u00a0in the double elimination tourney. Play continues throughSunday,\u00a0October 26. If we win both or at least one of our matches\u00a0on Saturday, then we will be playing\u00a0on Sunday, time and place TBA.<\/p>\n
The tennis season ends at the end of play in the tournament. We will have a fall sports potluck later in the fall. You will receive information on the potluck.<\/p>\n
