Returning Student Survey

Hello, dragon families!

As we prepare for next school year we need your help to determine what openings we may have for new students. Please take the time to fill out the survey here: https://forms.gle/jgr5rDrqR2Mke3i99 regarding whether your student will be returning for the 2023-2024 school year and if they have any siblings that will be joining them. Please fill this survey out by Friday, January 27th so we can hold your students’ spot. 8th grade parents please fill out if you have a sibling coming next year. Pickup and Dropoff Procedure Changes

Map and Description Flyer

Due to the construction along Cutler Ave, we have had to make some changes to our pickup and dropoff procedure at 21st Century Public Academy. Please refer to the directions below and the map on the other side of this sheet for our new procedure.

Dropoff:

  • Follow Cutler heading east, turning right onto Dragon Lane.
  • Drop off students along Dragon Lane, east of the school.
  • Follow the roundabout to exit.
  • Students may not be dropped off along Cutler.

Pickup:

  • Follow Cutler heading east, turning right onto Dragon Lane.
  • Middle school students will be picked up along Dragon Lane.
  • Elementary school students will be picked up inside the roundabout.
  • All vehicles will follow the roundabout to exit after picking up their students.
  • Students may not be picked up along Cutler.

THERE IS NO LEFT TURN EXITING OR ENTERING CUTLER AVE. Please only make right turns when entering or exiting Dragon Lane.

Improvements to Cutler Avenue

Good afternoon Dragon Families, we were just notified by the City Of Albuquerque that they will begin improvements on Cutler Ave beginning Monday January 9th. This will affect pick and drop off locations. Hopefully this will not affect us until Monday afternoon. We are meeting with the City at 8:00. We will update you with a new plan on Monday. We are excited about the improvements and apologize in advance about the inconvenience.

Parent Drop Off and Pick Up Directions

Drop Off: Students may only exit vehicles curbside. Parents should travel North on Carlisle from I-40, turning right heading East on Cutler, or you can approach Morningside turning left on Cutler next to the school. Only make right turns onto school property. Proceed for curbside drop-off as directed by staff. Please pull as far forward as you can before stopping to drop off your student(s). There is no left turn out of the school onto Cutler. This is to maintain traffic flow and the safety of our students and teachers on duty. Please do not drop off students prior to 8:00AM, as there are no teachers to supervise them until that time. Any student dropped off prior to 8:00AM will be signed into the Before Care program, which includes a $5/use charge.

Pick Up: The pickup location is the same as drop off. Students may only load into vehicles curbside. Any student still on campus 10 minutes after release will be escorted inside the building and signed into the After Care program, which includes a $5/use charge, unless they are participating in a school club or sport on that day.
