The McKinney-Vento Program supports students and families experiencing homelessness by ensuring that all children have equal access to a free, appropriate public education. Our school is committed to removing barriers that may prevent students from enrolling in, attending, or succeeding in school due to housing instability.
Under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, students who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence are eligible for additional educational supports and protections. This may include assistance with immediate school enrollment, transportation services, school supplies, and connections to community resources.
Here at 21st Century, we call our McKinney-Vento Program the Village of Dragons!
