Due to a conflict with OSI’s, the Student Celebration Day for the fall will be on Friday, October 27th. This means that students cannot dress up on October 20th for the school day, only for Fall Festival. All students can dress up on Friday, October 27th. There are no conflicting OSI’s scheduled on that day so we can make sure all students are able to participate in the costume display.

Afternoon Pickup Procedure & Map

Hello, dragon families! We wanted to follow up on our pickup routine at the end of the day and offer further guidance to make the process run as smoothly as we can. As you approach the school along Cutler heading eastbound, please follow along the curb so as to allow through-traffic to pass by our line of cars. Once you get to Dragon Lane, you can pull around the curb to enter Dragon Lane and head toward the roundabout. We have also been asked by the local businesses around the school that we please leave space for their customers to enter and leave their parking lots. So when you are in the pickup line, if you approach a driveway entrance to one of the businesses around us including Midtown and Stone Age, please leave space for vehicles to enter and exit those lots. Please look below for an updated map of how traffic should flow in the afternoons. It is a learning process for all of us, but we need to make sure we are doing our best to allow non-21st Century traffic, including emergency vehicles, to flow through Cutler.

Thank you so much for your part in this process, and take care!

First Week Updates

Hello, dragon families! Day 2 is underway and we are so thankful for all of your help and flexibility as we get back up to speed with our drop off and pickup routines. Please be patient as our staff directs you through the roundabout in the mornings and afternoons. We ask that you do NOT turn left from Cutler into Dragon Lane, but instead approach from the Carlisle and Morningside direction to turn right into the school and directly into the roundabout. When dropping off in the morning and picking up in the afternoon, please pull as far forward as possible so we can get as many parents into the circle at a time as we can. Staff will direct students to walk to your vehicle when you come to a stop.

This year the state has made it possible for us to offer breakfast to students. Any student who wishes to get a breakfast needs to let their homeroom teacher know the day before. The front doors will open for students eating breakfast at 7:45. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 until 8:15 when classes begin for the day.

Please keep in mind that any students dropped off prior to 7:45 will be signed into the Before Care program. In the afternoon, any student not picked up by 4:00 will be signed into the After Care program. Each of these programs does incur a $5 fee per use.

Your students have been doing an amazing job with our start-of-year testing, and I am very proud of their efforts. It’s going to be a great year, go Dragons!
