First Day of School

Dragon Families;

Monday, August 23rd is just a few days away! We are so excited to see students bright and early for a full day, 8:15-3:40. Before care is from 6:30-8:00AM and Aftercare is from 4:00-5:30pm. Students will start their day with their homeroom teachers, learn routines and orient themselves to the new surroundings! Please send your students with a sack lunch. Meals will be available in our cafetaria the rest of the week. Please make sure your student is in uniform with a well fitted mask. Bring a book, school supplies and a water bottle. Students may bring their bulk supplies, too. Please do not drop off students prior to 8:00AM (unless they are going to before care) each day, as are no teachers for supervision until 8:00AM. Thank you!

Voluntary Student COVID Surveillance Testing

Hello Dragon Families!

The Public Education Department of New Mexico will continue student surveillance testing in schools for SY21-22.
Student surveillance testing is voluntary. 21st Century Public Academy is seeking unvaccinated student volunteers using free, statewide VAULT testing in which families order a VAULT kit and students take the test at home. Then, voluntarily provide the results to our school COVID point of contact, Ms. Belmonte-Sapien.
Our goal is to test 25% of our unvaccinated students each week.
If you are interested in having your student participate, please respond to this 4 question survey and your student will be included in our pool for voluntary COVID surveillance testing.

Summer Letter for Families

Dear parents/guardians, students and 21 st Century Community,
Summer is in full swing! It is a great time of year to enjoy quality time outdoors, with family and friends, and hopefully
do a little practice with reading and math! The summer reading lists are on our school website and Kahn Academy is a
free website to brush up on Math.. It is never too late to put yourself ahead for next year! After all, the start of the 2021-
2022 school year is just around the corner! We have a few changes that we are excited to tell you about for next year.
First, we are honored to introduce our Administrative Team for the 21-22 school year! Ms. Tarango, CEO, Ms. Belmonte-
Sapien, Principal and Mr. Jeremy Peckens, Principal. Our educational program now serves grades 1-8! As you can see,
our school is growing and we are excited that you are a part of the Dragon Family!
We will be able to offer remote learning for those families that request it. More information to follow once we receive
guidance from the Public Education Department.
Mark your calendars for the following events:

We are a uniform school and proudly display the 21 st Century logo and dragon to the community, especially on Out of
