Treasurers Report – Sarah Day

President’s Report – Adriana Romero

No school on Monday or Tuesday
Ice Cream Social on Wednesday from 11:15-12:15
PTA will provide in-service lunch for teachers
Need regular consistent volunteers for Student Store on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Several prizes are left over that Lexi Pickel had asked businesses to donate for Fall Festival. Will need to decide how to divvy up the prizes.
- Box Top – Donuts & Ice Cream – name in box for each sheet brought in, name drawn will receive prize.
- Top Candle Seller – Go Karts
- Teachers handling out for Character Counts – Hinkle Coupons

Memberships – Kathi Lakins

Currently 58 paid PTA memberships.
PTA is not limited to parents & teachers, open to anyone interested in school/organization.
Must be a paid member to motion, vote, etc.
Membership cards issued

Principal’s Report – Mrs. Tarango

Teachers In-Service – CommonCore Training with staff
On November 14 2014, a parent will present Safe & Secure on to students. Discussed presenting same presentation to parents on a different night at a couple of locations in the City. Mrs. Tarango will check with parent on date when available.

Fundraising report- Cindy Rodriguez

Chocolate Sales – 28 sellers with sales of $1,970 and profit to PTA of approximately $650. Still 11 pending order forms. Last day to turn in forms is Nov 7
Gold Candle Sales begin November 17. Forms will be due back by Dec 1 to guarantee Christmas delivery

Corporate Contributions – Kathi Lakins

289 Albertson’s keycards were passed out. Will pass out more this week during student drop-off
Will send out instructions to re-attach Smith’s card to school
Box Top- made $250 in two months. The next cut off is February 2015

Unfinished Business

Change to Article VI, section 2. Motion made by Traci Hull to elect nominating committee in December and elect officers in February. Second by Marian Davis. Passed unanimously.
Change to Article VIII, section 2. Motion made by Marion Davis to add only standing committee chairmen to Board of Directors. Second by Kathi Lakins. Passed unanimously.
Change to Article XI, section 4. Motion made by Mrs. Tarango that majority of Board members plus members present shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business in any general meeting of this local PTA. Second by Lexi Pickel. Passed unanimously.
Change to Article X, section 2. Motion made by Sarah Day to delete Student Store and to add Social Committee and to add Expenditure Committee. Second by Cindy Trujillo. Passed unanimously.
Table Nominating Committee appointment until next meeting.
Committee sign-up sheets were passed around.
Kathi will send out Robert’s Rules of Order. Standing rules will be on next agenda

Village Inn/Pie Cards as fundraiser -Adriana Romero from 10/15 meeting
- Cost of Pie cards is $8.50; students will sell for $13.
- Restaurant Night at Village Inn on San Mateo on Thursday December 4th. Will receive 10% of sales for the night.
- Motion made by Marion Davis to sell pie cards as fundraiser and for Village Inn restaurant night. Second by Lexi Pickel. Passed unanimously.
