Spirit Week

Dear Students and Families of 21st Century Public Academy,

We will launch our annual Pasta for Pennies donation drive to help fight cancer in New Mexico starting January 27th!  Your child has been asked to submit any change to be donated each day from January 27- February 10th in his/her homeroom class.  The winning homeroom will win a catered lunch from Olive Garden!  Homerooms that donate $300 or more will receive a “jean” day pass for one day.

Starting February 1st and ending February 5th, we are hoping to raise even more funds by sponsoring a “Spirit Week”.  Your child will be allowed to dress in theme for each day, but all “dress” must follow appropriate school guidelines as mentioned in the Student Handbook.  If this policy is abused, than your child will not be allowed to participate or be refunded.  Students may pay $2 per day for that week to her/his homeroom teacher to participate or they may purchase a “Spirit Week” coupon for the whole week.  This will be sold for $8 at lunch during January 25-29th.

Students must present coupon to homeroom teacher to be allowed to participate.  We hope this will be a fun way to raise money for a good cause.  The schedule is listed on the school calendar or below.

  • Monday 2/1 – Matching Monday
    • You may dress like someone else or as a group.
  • Tuesday 2/2 – Team Jersey
    • You may wear jeans and your favorite sport jersey or shirt
  • Wednesday 2/3 – Western Wednesday
    • You may wear “Western” clothing.
  • Thursday 2/4 – Throwback Thursday
    • You may wear something in fashion from the past (be creative).
  • Friday 2/5 – Fancy Friday
    • You may dress up for the day (nice jeans are acceptable).

*No sweats, tanks, or leggings may be worn this week!!!
