Pennies for Pasta and Spirit Week

Dear Students and Families of 21st Century Public Academy,

We have launched our annual Pasta Pennies donation drive to help fight cancer in New Mexico! So far, we’ve had a slow start with only roughly $45 donated. Each homeroom has a goal to raise about $400. Students that donate $20 or more will be recognized on our Student Council bulletin board (this amount will also count toward the homeroom goal). The homeroom that has raised the most money will receive a “Pasta” lunch as a reward. Good luck homerooms!

Next week as part of Pasta for Pennies, your child will have the opportunity to participate in “Spirit” week. The school dress code that is in the handbook must still be followed for each day. The only leniency given is on the uniform school logo shirt and the khaki pants. Shirts must be appropriate for a public learning situation. (You will have to change if you are not appropriately dressed.) You may pay $2 a day to participate or $10 for the week. The schedule is listed below.

Monday 2/2 Tuesday ⅔ Wednesday 2/4 Thursday ⅖ Friday 2/7

Matching Team Western Throw-back Fancy
Monday Jersey Wednesday Thursday Friday

Monday: You may dress like someone else at school if they are planning to dress like you. Think twins!
Tuesday: You may wear any professional or college team jersey for any sport.
Wednesday: You may wear western or cowboy gear (hats are not allowed to be worn in class).
Thursday: You may wear fashion fad items from any past decade.
Friday: You may dress up! Look your fanciest.

You must have the $2 to pay in homeroom to participate. You may pay for the whole week on Monday, 2/1/15.

On behalf of the Student Council, I hope you have fun participating and donating to such a great cause!!! If you have any questions, you may email me at bcampbell@21stcenturypa.com.

Thanks,
Billy Campbell
