The SAC meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm by Lora Sedore via Zoom video Conferencing. Rebecca
Starrett notified the SAC that she would not be attending the meeting and will be moving out of state so
she will no longer be on our committee. The SAC thanks Rebecca for her service on our committee and
will miss her input and participation.

Lora asked Jeremy to update the SAC on the status of the New Mexico Legislative changes to the
required educational hours, our proposed calendar, differences in the APS calendar and proposed
options for parents.

Jeremy explained the new APS calendar changes that include a 3 week gap in August as well as longer
breaks during the year. He also presented the proposed 21 st Century calendar. The committee discussed
the changes and possible options for in-school daycare both at the beginning of the year and the breaks
within the year.

Jeremy also outlined the process 21 st Century followed to create the calendar.
The teachers and staff completed a questionnaire on their preferences and discussed the
calendar during their scheduled Wednesday morning meetings.

A questionnaire to was sent to the parents of 21 st . (71 replied)

The CG Board was updated on discussions from the SAC the staff, and the results of the
questionnaire sent to parents.

Based on the input from the previous mentioned groups. A calendar was drafted by the 21 st Century
administration for presentation and approval at the April Governance Council meeting.

The SAC discussed the problems with the new calendar, including inconvenience to parents, daycare
uncertainty, and conflicts with the APS calendar. The SAC agreed the process was followed and no
perfect solution is possible.

No date for the next The SAC was established.

Registration for 21stCPA Summer Athletics Events

Hello Families, Registration for 21st CPA Summer Events is now open.
The Athletic Department Coaching Staff and Alumni Athletes are hosting several Summer events for Elementary and Middle School students. These events will allow each participant to develop and enhance their skills no matter their skill level and prepare for the next level of their interested sport. 

Summer Camps

  • Volleyball:          June 5, 6 + 7, 2023 @ 4:30-7:30p
  • Basketball:         June 12, 13 + 14, 2023 @ 4:30-7:30p
  • Flag Football:     June 20, 21 + 22, 2923 @ 4:30-7:30p

Skills Clinics

  • Basketball:  Friday, June 9 + 23 @ 4:30-6p
  • Volleyball:   Monday, June 19 + 26  @ 4:30-6p
  • Soccer: Tuesday, June 27 + 28 @ 4:30-6:30p

Spring Fling

Hello Dragon Families!

The PTA is busy planning the Spring Fling for all our students. The event is April 28th from 5-7pm. The PTA is requesting the following donations by grade level, please see below:

1st Grade: hot dog buns (bring the week of April 24th please)
2nd Grade: hot dog buns (bring the week of April 24th please)
3rd Grade: hot dogs, any brand, any variety
4th Grade: hot dogs, any brand, any variety
5th Grade: small, snack size, individually wrapped chip packs
6th Grade: individual bottles of iced tea, any flavor, any variety, 12-16oz
7th Grade: individual bottles of Gatorade (or similar drink) 12oz size, any variety
8th Grade: Individual cans of soda (or similar drinks) 12oz size, any variety
Please have your students bring the items to the front office and give to Mrs. Lerner.
