2021-22 School Year Starts August 23, 2021

The teachers and staff of 21st Century Public Academy are excited to welcome students this Fall for the continued safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services. All teachers will provide direct, face to face daily instruction in our full inclusion classroom environment. Each student will be issued a Chromebook to develop 21st Century skills. Out of School Instruction with teachers will take place according to NM PED/DOH guidance. Lunch will be served and families can find the application for free/reduced meals on our website. Our staff are eager to meet our students’ academic social, emotional, and health needs. Our full-time nursing staff will continue to meet student health needs. Please continue to check our website for important updates and resources including school supply lists, uniform availability through AdItUp, summer reading lists as well as our school calendar for 2021-2022. We look forward to engaging our Dragons on campus in August!

Summer Camps

Hello! True Kids 1 is pleased to announce that we will be hosting summer camps again this year. Please share the information below with your parents, coworkers, and network. Last year we filled up within a few days of opening registration!

True Kids 1 will be hosting In Person Summer Camps starting June 7. Our first camp will be Filmmaking 101 followed by Journalism and Theater. Please see the attached flyers for more information.

True Kids 1 will also be hosting a Digital Summer Camp with classes in filmmaking, game design, podcast, improv, social media, and comic book design! These classes will start on June 14 and run through July 2. Flyer is attached for more information.

8th Grade Continuation Ceremony

8th grade Dragon Families

The 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony will take place this afternoon from 6 pm -7 pm in the school gymnasium. Students will need to follow the same school dress code we have on picture day. No revealing clothing, no spaghetti straps, no torn pants or shorts, and no sweatpants.

Due to state regulations on group gatherings, we will only be allowed to have the 8th graders present within the building. We ask that families stay outside and in their cars. Students may enter the gym starting at 5:45 pm. We will have a “Congratulations” sign outside the gym where families can take a quick photo with their soon-to-be high schooler. Parents can park in the school lot and across the street in the Income Support parking lot. We will be streaming the event live on our school’s facebook, linked below. We will also be projecting the audio on loudspeakers into the parking lot. All 8th graders are welcome to attend in-person and virtually from home.

8th Grade teachers will be outside by the gym today for Chromebook drop-off and if your student is participating virtually, they will be able to pick up their items before the ceremony in the same location from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm.
